ولعل الوجه من ذلك الإهتمام هو تأكيد القرآن الكريم على العشيرة، بوصفها الوحدة الإجتماعية التي تمثّل عماد المجتمع وعصب التغيير الإجتماعي والسياسي، وتسهم بتنوع النشاطات الإنسانية بنحو عام.
وهذا الكتاب "قبيلة جحيش" تناول البحث بقبيلة من قبائل العرب ببطونها المختلفة، فبيّن درجة الإهتمام الذي أبداه العرب بوجه عام ومؤرخوا هذه القبيلة بوجه خاص، وهو جهد جدير بالإعجاب من جهة، وبالإهتمام من جهة أخرى، وسيسهم برفد المكتبة العربية بنتاج وموروث يضاف إلى ما اكتنزته تلك المكتبة من نفائس أدبية وعلمية بشتى الإختصاصات والشؤون.
