إن المصدر المكثف لمحتوى مفردات الشريعة هو القرآن الكريم وعند مراجعتنا للقرآن الكريم نرى أن جمهرة كبيرة من آياته ونصوصه تنفرد بالكلام على شؤون الحضارة والمدنية والثقافة العامة والاجتماعية إلى جانب ذلك فإن القرآن الكريم هو كتاب دين وعبادة وكتاب علم وثقافة وكتاب إدارة وسياسة وكتاب مدنية وحضارة، والذين ينكرون الركن الحضاري الركين في الإسلام سيواجهون بالنصوص الحضارية مشاراً في هذا الكتاب إلى أرقام آياتها وأسماء السور التي وردت فيها.
والإسلام هو دين عبادة وثقافة وسياسة وحضارة وإن ما كان منه خاصاً هو كذلك للحضارة فيه دور ملحوظ، فالوضوء المفروض لأداء الصلاة هو عمل حضاري لأنه يحقق جانب النظافة في المصلين، والنظافة من مطالب الحضارة لا سيما إذا اجتمع المصلون في مكان واحد، وتأجيل صيام الصائم في رمضان إذا كان مسافراً إلى بعد عودته من سفره أمر حضاري لأن الشريعة لاحظت في المسافر حاجته إلى الراحة وإلى استكمال المطالب التي دعته إلى السفر تاركاً بلده ومقر أعماله... فالحضارة هنا لها دور بارز في توجيه المتعبدين وفي أداء شعائر العبادة. وقوله تعالى في سورة الأعراف: (خذوا زينتكم عند كل مسجد) إنما هو دعوة حضارية؛ لأن الزينة من وجوه الحضارة وأركانها. ثم إن مشاهد الجنان مشاهد حضارية؛ بل إنها في أعلى درجات الحضارة لأن أيام الجنات ليست أيام تكليف بل هي أيام تشرين يلقي فيها الناس جزاء ما أحسنوا من أيام حياتهم الأولى، ولذا نرى النصوص القرآنية في صفة الحياة اليومية تشير إلى ملابس الحرير وصحاف الذهب والفضة والآرائك... وذكر السلسبيل والخدمات المتميزة مما لم يكن قد وقع لهم في أيام حياتهم... والمؤلف في كتابه هذا سيتناول هذه الأمور جميعها بالتفصيل، معتمداً على عدد معدود من آيات الحارة وليس على جميع ما هنالك من هذه الآيات والغاية والرد على ما جاء عند بعض الغربيين من مزاعم تقول بأن الإسلام لا يمتلك حضارة تنتفع منها البشرية هذا وسيرى القارئ آيات الحضارة وقد ذكرت بكامل نصها وشرحت شرحاً وافياً. هذا ويوصي المؤلف الباحثين بأن يتتبعوا أيضاً ما في الأحاديث النبوية من مطالب الحضارة فيجمعوها في كتاب يطّلع عليه الناس بسائر اللغات، فيكون ذلك بمثابة إتمام المسيرة التي بدأها المؤلف في هذا الكتاب.
