"اهدأ..، دندن لحنك، وارسم بحة صوتك، فقد بيع الرصاص، ما عاد هناك من يرسم لحنه، فقد بيعت أيضاً، أقلام الرصاص". خيال شعري وصور معّبرة ترسم الأحاسيس المرهفة في هذا الديوان الأول للشاعر الذي اعتبرت باكورة شعره "إضافة نوعية للحركة الأدبية الأردنية".
"إلى الطفلة يافا التي اخبرتني ذات مرة، أمام مخيم جنين، بأننا حتماً سنعود إلى يافا"، يعبّر هذا الإهداء الذي اختاره الشاعر لديوانه الأول، عن الهمّ الأساسي الذي استحوذ على حالته الشعرية". واضح وضوح الليل، ثلاثية الفقر والمقاومة والعودة، لغتي"، بهذه الأقانيم الثلاث يحدد هويته ويشّرع مصدره وآماله. يمتلك نصه خيالا شعريا ولغة نثرية جميلة وواضحة المعاني: "لست بريئاً، ولن أكون ضحية"، يكشف نفسه باصرار وعناد، ويحدد هدفه: "وأشتاقني.. أكتب، ينزف دمي حبراً، لأقترب من وطني شبراً". اعتماد القصيدة النثرية في التعبير ليس صدفة ولا خياراً، إنه شبه حتمية الشكل لمضمون ممزوج بالحرقة والغضب وعدم اليأس، "أغنّي، لأوراق الياسمين..، دوما أغنّيك، لتغنيني.. فلسطين" و"سأعود..، حتما سأعود.."، كما بالشعور بالحب الذي يعرّي الذات من كل دفاعاتها "خفت من شمس اليوم، إن النهار يفضحني حين أراك"، لكن حبّه عبارة عن مشاعر عميقة وصادقة لكن لا قالب لها ولا جدوى: "أنا عابر سبيل مررت هنا، فـ طرحت السّلام ليس أكثر.."
صور جميلة وشفافة تنبع من حس مرهف يندفع مستقيماً حاراً من وجدان مشتعل ليصب مباشرة في وجدان متّلقيه.
ديوان شعري جدير بالتذوق، يفرض نفسه على الساحة الشعرية بتفرّده وبخصوصية تعبيره وأشكاله، وبتكامل لغته وتميّزها، فـ "كل خط مستقيم له زوايا..، ترسم وحدك تعرّجاته، وترسم مرورك في الزمن..".
