وفي "شجنٌ على ضفاف الغْرُوب" بدا الدكتور فؤاد السيد بارعاً في الإقتصاد وفي الشعر أيضاً، يلاحق حركة الفكرة، والتماعة العبارة، ووضة الكشف، يقود قارئه، ببراعة قلمه، وأناقة لفظه، وحصافة منطقه، إلى حدائق المعنى الجديدة، وفضاءات الجمال والفلسفة، وكأنما صياغة النص عنده جسيد راقٍ لجمالية اللفظة حين تغازلها الفكرة، وإبهار الصورة حين ترسم لك ملامح المعنى.
لنقرأ النص الآتي: "قارورتان: "قارورتان هُمَا... المرمرُ الرجراجُ... والياقوتُ... وكرستالُ بُوهيْميَا... زجاجهما... لا تعبثي بهما... لا تشربي من عذب مائهما... لا توقظي نيران جمرهما... فإذا أفاقا من رقادهما... سيهب إعصارٌ... وأمطارٌ... وأمواجٌ تثورُ على ضفافهما... كم جئتُ أسبح في بحارهما... ولكم ثملتُ بعطر خمرهما... وغفوت كالعصفور بينهما...".
هذه عوالم الشاعر والإقتصادي السوري الدكتور فؤاد السّيد، تعتقد إزاءها أنك أمام نمط نثري وشعري من السهل الممتنع أو فلنقل: السهل الممتع والمانع والمتمنّع إلاَّ على القلة الذواقة للشعر وفنونه، وقبل هذا كله لا يرى الشاعر نفسه مستحقاً لشرف الإدعاء بأنه شاعر، بل - يقول - "أرى نفسي مترنحاً على أبواب الشعر، أتهيب الدّخول إلى قصره السّحري، والتنزّه في أروقته الخلابّة؛ غير أنيّ لا أنكر شغفي بالجميل من الشعر والنثر اللذين تحفل بهما اللغة العريية التي هي أعظم ما أبدعه العرب وما امتلكوه عبر العصور.
وكل ما هدفتُ إليه أن دوّن بعض رؤاي وخواطري، تاركاً نفسي على سجيتها، في إختيار الأسلوب الذي تنساب فيه، وتعبرّ عما تراءى لها...
