"مقامات الوجد / هي تلك القوافي التي أبصرت النور على طريق السفر / هي تلك الحروف التي ماتت عذراء على شفاهي / هي الفساتين التي استشهدت / دون أن تسمع زغاريد فرح نبضي / هي رشاتُ العطر التي اختنقت في خوابيها/ في خوابيها / وأحلام وئِدت في مهدها (...) ". قد تحيل "مقامات الوجد" للزمن التاريخي الذي تنتمي إليه الأنا المغايرة للشاعرة السورية "ريم السيد" إلا أن القارىء للنص سيجد أنها تتحول شعرياً إلى دوالٍ نصية ذات طابع شمولي يتخطى حدود المكان والزمان معاً ليكون توصيفاً لإنسان العصر الذي يمثل طرفاً في ثنائية تكوينية تتمثل في وجهها الدلالي الرمزي (الثورة) وفي وجهها التاريخي الرمزي (الأنظمة)، لتشكل القصيدة أرضية ملائمة للإنطلاق ووصف المأساة العربية والسورية تحديداً المتمثلة بالحرب تعيد قراءتها الشاعرة في ضوء الأزمة المعاصرة، لتكون أزاء نص جديد يتأسس على وفق معطيات الفن الشعري وأدواته التقنية.
قدم للمجموعة بكلمة الأستاذ زينو شومان، ومما جاء فيها: "مقامات الوجد"، هذا العنوان الذي اختارته ريم السيد لمجموعتها الثانية، فيه من الإيحاء ما يغني عن شرح كثير. فالموضوعات التي تتعرض لها هي أقرب لمن يتلقاها من حبل الوريد. والأخطر من ذلك كله، أن ريم السيد تدرك مكامن الوجع فإذا بها تستدرجك إلى نصوصها المفتوحة على مداها لتقف هناك، حيث شاءت لك أن تقف، على حافة الخطر لترى ما يجب أن تراه ليس ببصرك وحده، ولا بسمعك وحده، ولا بجوارحك بقضها وقضيضها وحدها، بل بعين القلم والقلب والضمير والوجود الإنساني معاً (...)".
