يضم الكتاب خمسة فصول وخاتمة، يتناول الأول سيرة الشهيد ونتاجه الفكري، ويحلل الثاني علاقته بالجماهير الشعبية وبالشرائح الإجتماعية، أما الثالث فيوجز إحتضان فكر الشهيد لمبادئ الثورة الحسينية، والرابع يسلط الضوء على حادثة إغتياله، وينقل الخامس ردود أفعال العراقيين المقيمين في هولندا.
