اسمه ونشأته
هو الإمام جلال الدين أبو عبد الله محمد بن شهاب الدين أحمد بن كمال الدين محمد بن إبراهيم بن أحمد بن هاشم العباسي الأنصاري المحلّي الأصل - نسبة للمحلة الكبرى من الغربية - القاهري الشافعي. ولد في مستهل شوال سنة إحدى وتسعين وسبعمائة 791 هـ الموافق سنة 1389 م بالقاهرة ونشأ بها فقرأ القرآن وحفظ المتون واشتغل في فنون العلم.

المصنف الإمام جلال الدين محمد بن أحمد المحلي الشافعي، هو أصولي ومفسر. عرّفه ابن العماد بتفتازاني العرب، صنف كتاباً في التفسير، أتمه الجلال السيوطي فسمي "تفسير الجلالين" كما ألف الكتاب الذي نقلب صفحاته "كنز الراغبين" وهو شرح على كتاب الإمام النووي "منهاج الطالبين" في فقه الشافعية. وجاء هذا الشرح لطيفاً خالياً من الحشو والتطويل، حاوٍ للدليل والتعليل.
