مفردتان اثنتان جسدتهما الكاتبة في شعريتها وهما الحزن والبكاء، فجاء الكتاب من أوله إلى آخره ينفث ألماً وحزناً ليعود بذاكرة القارئ إلى معارك الماضي، والوقوف على الأطلال، والحزن على فقد الحسين بعاطفة عميقة أثرت بكائياتها خطتها بحبر أسود يشبه أيام الحزن العاشورائية. تقول: "... تسمونه.. موتاً/ وأسميه.. ارتفاع/ على جناح ملك/ حيث العزاء/ تسمونه.. فقداً/ وأسميه.. دفئاً/ احتوى الجسد/ الذائب عشقاً في خالقه/ فبربكم تصوروه/ كيف كان اللقاء؟؟..".
