يدور موضوع الكتاب حول مسلك التوحيد في المذهب الدرزي كتبه المعلم والفيلسوف والمفكر.. كمال جنبلاط (1917- 1977) يجيب من خلاله عن أسئلة شتى فيما يخص هذا المسلك التوحيدي والعرفاني الذي يستهدف حقيقة الوجود.
من هذا المنطلق جاء هذا الكتاب طريقاً إلى المعرفة لا يكتفي بالإيمان فقط وإنما يهدف إلى اليقين ومسلك التوحيد هو الجوهر الذي سنكتشفه ما بين طيات هذا الكتاب النادر والذي يخبرنا فيه المعلم جنبلاط بأن "... أولى التجليات العرفانية التي حصلت، وفق تأريخ الموحدين الدروز لها، هي التي تمت ومعها الطشف العام الأول في بلاد الهند وفي مدينة جيما تشين بصورة العلي. وقد ورد اسم المتجلَي ذاته في لغة البراهنة الهندوس، وفي روايتهم للتجليات التي حدثت على ارضهم: le tres hout... والموحدون الدروز يستخدمون المنهج التأويلي لبعض آيات القرآن الكريم التي تتكشف فيها هذه الحكمة اللدنية الأزلية، والتي لا بدَ أنها تتوافق تماماً مع ما ورد في مذهب الأحناف الذي يرد ذكره كالأصل الذي يعود إليه الإسلام".
يحاول الكتاب أن يجيب عن أسئلة تتضمن المحاور الآتية: 1- ما يجب أن تعرفه عن مسلك التوحيد أي الطريق إلى المعرفة، 2- التحقق والتحرر والخلاص، 3- الظاهر والباطن، 4- العقل الأرفع، 5- الحكمة والشريعة، 6- وحدة الوجود، 7- الإبداع والتكوين، 8- الأدوار والتجلَي، 9- الحدود: حدود تجلَي الكون في صوره، 10- القدر –قدر الطبيعة وقدر الإنسان، 11- التقميص، 12- الكشف العام، 13- التعلم والمعرفة، 14- التوحد الخاطئ، 15- وسائل التطهير والترفع.
