تعكس النظرة العلمية إلى التنمية المفاهيم التنموية الجديدة لدى الشعب الصيني والإتجاهات الجديدة في الحضارة البشرية، ونلتقي المزيد من الضوء على استراتيجيات التنمية في الصين وأساليبها، حاضراً ومستقبلاً. ضمن هذا المنظور التنموي يأتي كتاب "طريق الصين - النظرة العلمية إلى التنموية" لمؤلفه البحّاثة والإقتصادي الصيني تيان ينغ كوي ليكون إجابة عن معنى النظرية العلمية إلى التنمية في الصين مستكشفاً أسلوب الحكم مستعرضاً الإتجاهات الدولية في النظرة العلمية إلى التنمية مستخلصاً مفاهيم جديدة لتنمية شاملة ومتوازنة ومستدامة. ثم يوضح أن أول شروط هذه التنمية هو بناء دولة مبتكرة. وفي هذا الإطار يقدم المؤلف إختراقات للصين في مجال التكنولوجيا "مركبة الفضاء المأهولة، الأرز المهجن رفيع النوعية، الكومبيوترات عالية الأداء، إتصالات المحمول من الجيل الثالث .." وغيرها من قطاعات في مجال الصناعة (المواد الغذائية والمنسوجات والحاجيات المنزلية)، كما يخصص المؤلف خيراً في الكتاب للأسس التي تضمن استمرار التنمية، وأولها التعليم، والرعاية الصحية والطبية واعتماد سياسة مؤاتية لزيادة فرص العمل، وإقامة نظام عادل لتوزيع الدخل من خلال ما يسميه المؤلف "فجوة الدخل" فيفسر أسباب توسعها والإجراءات الهادفة إلى تضييقها ... أما بخصوص تعزيز التنمية المتوازنة بين المناطق المختلفة فيضع المؤلف الأسس للبدء بمسيرة الإصلاح والإنفتاح بهدف بناء مجتمع الرخاء المتناغم كما يسميه، كذلك يتحدث المؤلف عن بناء ريف جديد في الصين ويستعرض أحوال الفلاحين ويشخّص مشكلة ازدواج البنية المدينية / الريفية والعمل على تسريع التحولات والبناء في الأرياف وفقاً للخصوصية الصينية وأوضاعها المحلية والتي تبدو شاقة في التطبيق الشامل للنظرة العلمية إلى التنمية.
