Book Description
صاحب هذه المشيخة هو الفقيه، المحدث، الزاهد، شرف الدين، أبو الحسين، علي بن محمد..بن علي بن الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب. وبهذا يعود نسبه إلى العزة النبوية المطهرة. ولد سنة 621 هـ بمدينة بعلبك، ونشأ في بيت علم، وطلب العلم منذ صغره في بلدة بعلبك، ثم تردد بعدها إلى دمشق للغاية ذاتها، سمع بها من الزبيدي، وابن الليثي وابن الصلاح وابن الشيرازي وغيرهم مما سيأتي ذكرهم في المشيخة، ثم ارتحل إلى مصر خمس مرات، اعتبارا من سنة 641 هـ، طلباً للعلم والحديث، فلازم الحافظ عبد العظيم المنذري، وتخرج به. وقد تجاوز شيوخ الفقيه شرف الدين السبعون شيخاً إن لم يكن أكثر من ذلك، قال عنه ابن حجر عُني بالحديث وضبطه، وقرأ البخاري "البخاري" على ابن مالك تصحيحا، وسمع منه ابن مالك روايته، وأملى علمية فوائد مشهورة، وكان عارفاً بكثير من اللغة، حافظاً لكثير من المتون، عارفاً بالأسانيد، وكان شيخ بلاده، والرحلة إليه، ودخل دمشق مراراً، وحدّث بها، وكان وقوراً مهاباً كثير الود لأصحابه، فصيحاً مقبول القول والصورة من آثاره:"شرح الجامع الصحيح" الذي وضعه مجد بن يوسف بن مضر الغَربري، وهو شرح كتاب "الجامع الصحيح" للإمام البخاري.
