هذه قصة مغامرة تاريخية... هي القصة التي لا تكاد تصدق لحسان القفقاس الشركسي (القباردين) وكيف انتهى به المطاف في شمال انجلترا أثناء حكم ماركوس أوريليوس، لقد أثبت فحص الــ DNA أن حصان كليفلاند الكميت الشهير العائد لإنجلترا وقباردين القفقاس كانا متطابقين.
هناك مقالة كتبها هنري إدموند عام 2013 تؤكد أن "عينة الــ DNA المأخوذة من مؤسسة ماكس بلانك لحصان قباردين، هي نسخة مؤكدة لإحدى سلالاتنا الكليفلاند، إن العلاقة غير قابلة للنقض".
هذه قصة مغامرة حول السنوات المبكرة من الألفية الأولى (عام 173 للميلاد) بعد أن هزم الإمبراطور ماركوس أوريليوس أمتي السارماتيون والسند أثناء الحروب المركونية، كانت التجربة التي دفعها زانتيكوس ملك السارماتيون إلى الرومان تشكيلة من فرسان السند والسارماتيون مع خيولهم للخدمة ضمن الفيالق الرومانية في شمال إنجلترا.
أصبح هؤلاء حماة جدار هادريان واستقروا وبقوا في الإقليم بعد إنسحاب روما من بريطانيا، محتفظين بحصانهم (القباردين) على مدى قرون كسلالة نقية، يعتقد المؤرخون البريطانيون أن ملكهم الأسطوري آرثر متحدر من هذه القبائل المحاربة.
السارماتيون هم الأوسيتيون الحاليون، والسند، مربو الحصان القباردين هم شراكسة هذا العصر.
خلال السنوات المبكرة من الألفية الأولى، عاشت عدة قبائل من الأمتين جنباً إلى جنب في شبه جزيرة القرم والهضاب الغربية.
تشكلت كلتا الأمتان من قبائل محاربة لكن السند كانوا معروفين بشكل خاص بثقافتهم المتأصلة في تربية الخيول، تعيش الأمتان اليوم كجارتين في القفقاس الشمالي، وهكذا تتكشف قصتهم المغرقة في القدم...
