Book Description
1993 في الرواية التاسعة لفحماوي، يسافر جمال قاسم في رحلة سياحية من عمان إلى روما، فيزور الفاتيكان برفقة سائحة أمريكية. يغادر بالقطار إلى مدينة فلورنسا، فتكون له قصة حب مع صبية إيطالية تنتهي بليلة غرام بفندقه تستمر حتى الصباح. يصل إلى مدينة جنوة، فيسافر بالطائرة إلى لندن، حيث يواجه في مطارها صدمة تفتيش وتدقيق في أوراقه، فقط لأنه عربي .. ومن لندن يغادر إلى مدن إنجليزية، حيث يتعرض على شاطىء البحر الجنوبي لضربات عنيفة من مشجعي كرة القدم الإنجليز .. يعود بعدها إلى حافلته السياحية في لندن التي تنطلق في رحلة سطحية من لندن إلى بحر الشمال، فبلجيكا وهولندا والمانيا والدنمارك والسويد، والنرويج، فتكون (يائيل) الجالسة إلى جواره يهودية من المكسيك .. وخلال الرحلة يتعرفان على بعضهما، ويتحاوران بعمق حول موقفيهما المتناقضين من الإحتلال الإسرائيلي لفلسطين، ويتبادلان قصصاً كثيرة، تنتهي بوقوعهما في الغرام. تستمر قصة حبهما الذي ينتهي بالوداع في مطار العودة. تنتهي الرواية بمفارقات معاهدة أوسلو عام 1993، والرواية تفجر أسئلة كثيرة، تستلهم أفكاراً جديدة.
