داخل شخصية الصادق الغموض والتشكك لكثرة الباحثين لها، من خلال دراسة غير موضوعية بعيدة عن الواقع العقلي والتجرد العلمي. هذا من جهة، ومن جهة أخرى بسبب السياسة التي حاربت المذهب الجعفري، وإلى تقلص مذهبه عبر التاريخ بعد انتشاره. إلا أن الباحث لو تفرغ لشخصية الصادق بدراسة موضوعية على ضوء الواقع العقلي مبتعداً عن التعصب البغيض سوى للعلم والمنطق، متبعاً الأصول الحديثة لدراسة حياة العظماء، لتؤكد على ضوء ما تقدم أن الصادق هو عميد لأول مدرسة فكرية في الإسلام، ومخرج العقل الإسلامي من نطاقه المحدود إلى فضاء رحيب تسيطر في أجوائه حرية الفكر العلمي القائم على الحقيقة والمنطق، وهو أستاذ في الفقه قبل أن تختلف مذاهب الأئمة من أهل السنّة أو من الشيعة، ومرجع لطلاب الأصول وطلاب التوفيق.
ولما كانت الموضوعية من أهم شروط البحث العلمي، كان على الباحث صاحب هذه الرسالة عدم الوقوع بالخطأ مع من كتب عن الصادق ونسب كل ما أتى به الشيعة أو غير الشيعة له وهو منهم براء، فقد نالوا من مكانته العلمية من غير مقصد أو عن قصد فأوقعوه بالمغالطات والشطط، معتمدين لذلك أسلوب المغالاة طمعاً بمكسب لاح حباً لعلم، فقد أضاع هؤلاء شخصية الصادق وأغرقوا من أغرقوا في ضياعهم، وعرّضوا الصادق للتشكك نتيجة جدلهم وعدم تحريهم الحقيقة والمنطق.
لهذا توخّى الباحث في بحثه هذا عدم الوقف إلى جانب الشيعة ليزيد المتعصبين منهم، بل ليقف إلى جوار الحق كيفما كان، مقدراً للصادق لذاته والمعرفة لذاتها والإنسان لذاته. بهذه الروح المذهبية كان الباحث موضوعياً في بحث رسالته والتي تحمل عنوان "العالم الفكري للإمام جعفر الصادق". وقد تعرّض فيها للجانب الكلامي والفلسفي مظهراً الناحية العقلية والتحري العلمي الذي اعتمده الصادق المفكر، والذي يلزم لكل طلاب المعرفة في أي زمان ومكان.
