ورد في القرآن الكريم ذكر العديد من المواضع والأماكن والصفات والشخصيات، فضلاً عن الإشارة إلى الكثير من البناتات والفواكة، ومثلها الحيوانات والحشرات، وقد عقدت الكتاب وصنفته حسب موضوعاته في خمسة فصول: فالفصل الأول حول المواضع والأماكن، وقد تحدثت فيه عن سبعة منها، أما الفصل الثاني: فكان حول الصفات، وتناولت فيه أربعة منها. وأما الفصل الثالث فكان عن الشخصيات، وتناولت فيه ستة منها وأما الفصل الرابع فتناولت فيه النباتات والفواكة، وعرضت لسبعة منها. وأما الفصل الخامس فكان عن الحيوانات والحشرات وحدثت فيه لستة منها. وقد كان الكتاب في الأصل برنامجاً إذاعياً خلال دورة برامجية خاصة بشهر رمضان المبارك لعام 1991 بثلاثين حلقة عن ثلاثين اسم من الأسماء في خمسة مواضيع مختلفة.
