يهدف تعليم مادة اللغة العربية في هذه الحلقة من سلسلة "قفير الكلمات" إلى جعل المتعلم قادراً على اكتساب المهارات اللغوية التلقائية بممارسة حسن الاستماع والنطق السليم والتواصل بلغة عربية فصيحة مبسطة، وإلى التعبير بجرأة عن ذاته والاتصال بسواه إلى جانب هذا تعليمه حروف اللغة العربية في مختلف أشكالها ومواقعها، وإكسابه آلية القراءة الصحيحة والسريعة وتصحيح ما يقع فيه من عثرات. إلى جانب هذا تهدف هذه الحلقة غلى تدريب ذاكرته على حفظ مقطوعات سهلة ذات إيقاع بارز وجع ومغناة وتنمية إحساسه بالجمال وتهذيب عاطفته وتعزيز ثقته بنفسه.
وبالعودة لمضمون هذا الكتاب غير أنه جاء متضمناً على نصوص في القراءة ملحقة بأسئلة تدور حول فهم النص وأخرى في وقاعد اللغة وثالثة في الإملاء ورابعة جاءت بمثابة نشاطات في التعبير الشفوي إلى الكتابة. وهذه التمارين جاءت متناسبة مع قدرات طلاب الصف الثالث ابتدائي من مرحلة التعليم الأساسي وهي مطابقة للقوانين والأنظمة النافذة ومشتملة على مضمون منهج التعليم العام ما قبل الجامعي لمادة اللغة العربية وآدابها للسنة المنهجية الثالثة من مرحلة التعليم الأساسي الصادر بموجب المرسوم رقم 10227 تاريخ 8/5/1997.
