عبد العزيز صالح المَقالِح (1937 -)، أديب وشاعر وناقد يمني، ولد عام 1937 في قرية المقالح في محافظة إب وهو رئيس المجمع العلمي اللغوي اليمني. ويُعد في مقدمة شعراء اليمن المعاصرين، وأحد أبرز الشعراء العرب في العصر الحديث.
درس على مجموعة من العلماء والأدباء في مدينة صنعاء، تخرج من دار المعلمين في صنعاء عام 1960، وواصل تحصيله العلمي حتى حصل على الشهادة الجامعية عام 1970، في عام 1973 حصل درجة الماجستير في اللغة العربية وآدابها من كلية الآداب جامعة عين شمس ثم درجة الدكتوراه عام 1977 من نفس الجامعة، وترقى إلى الأستاذية عام 1987. تميزت كتابته بشيء من الكلاسيكية، لكنها سرعان ما انفتحت على الحداثة. عرف عنه كتابته لقصيدة أن يحرمونا يا حبيب الغرام وتغنى بها الفنان اليمني أحمد فتحي.

رائعة تلك الصور التي يرسمها عبد العزيز المقالح لقريته بأنامل شاعر، يسكب الصور قصائد، سطورها ألوان القرية، ومعانيها وحروفها خطوط تجسد معالمها، تنزاح الرؤى بها ومعها لتبصرها بعين الخيال المنبعث من ثنايا المعاني وهذه البقعة "من متى وهي رابصة هكذا، في وداعة طفل بريء، على كتف السطح تغسل أجفانها في الصباح بماء النهار، وأقدامها تستحم بنهر صغير يثور إذا ما أتى الصيف، واحتدمت في الجبال السيول، لا تريم عن السفح، تستقبل الشمس في فرح، وتداعب كل الفصول، وفي الليل توقد أحلامها حطباً للتذكر قبل الرقاد... هذه القرية الصغيرة الواقعة بين الأرض والسماء، في فضاءات من البهاء، المفتوحة على وديان واسعة، هي المدخل إلى "وادي بنا" المشهور في المدوّنات، وفي القصائد المغناة".
هكذا هي قرية عبد العزيز المقالح، وهذه هي بعض من معانيه وصوره، ورهافة حسه، هذه هي لوحة يرسم من خلالها موئل فؤاده والتي هي واحدة من سبع وثلاثين لوحة في مرسم قريته.
