في مجموعتها الشعرية الأولى "تسبيحة حب" بدت جمانة عارف حمد تتنفس عشقاً، وتهيم في بحور الحب، دالقة بين سطورها وحروفها جواهر أنوثتها، والتي كلما توغلنا في قراءتها نطلب المزيد. نقرأ لها قصيدة تحت عنوان (وأصلي عشقك):
" عاشقة أنا / وأشتاقُ دوماً / إلى لحظة لقاء، / أتحرر من ذاتي / وأكون معك عاشقين نلتحفُ السماء، / أشتاقُ لترسمني بأناملك / فترسم وبكل دقة / ملامحي، تفاصيلي، خطوطي، وألواني، / أشتاقُ لحظة تكون أنت / غضبي الحار / فيديَّ، شهوتي، خشوعي وإيماني، / أرى فيك صورة كل الرجال / رجلاً عاشقاً / رجلاً غاضباً / رجلاً يهوى ارتشاف القهوة في المساء، / رجلاً في عينيه بريق كبرياء، / عاشقة أنا / (...)". بهذه اللغة تقيم الشاعرة (جمانة) خطابها الشعري في مستويات لغوية تصرح بها حيناً وتبطنها حيناً أخرى بقيماتها الحياتية وليبقى الحب عندها (أعلى القيمات) ...
