وصلت إلى حديقة صغيرة أخيراً بعد سير منهك، جلست على مقعد معزول فيها وصرت أتأمل ما رأيته منذ بداية الصباح، كانت الأوراق قليلة في هذا المكان، ربما لكونه معزولاً، وبعيداً عن البيوت ونوافذها المشرعة، وفي تلك اللحظة من الهدوء المفاجئ أدركت أمراً آخر، أنني وحدي، لم أشاهد أي أحد في المدينة طوال الوقت الماضي، لكنني ترددت، هل أنا حقاً وجدي؟ أم أن غرابة ما رأيت جعلتني أدخل في ذلك العالم ولا أرى شيئاً سوى الأوراق؟...
لكن لا، الحديقة الآن فارغة، كنت أمر منها كل يوم أثناء ذهابي للعمل وكانت على قلة المتواجدين بها آهلة ببعض الرجال والسيدات والأطفال الصغار.
تنبّهت إلى كوني جالساً على ورقة صفراء، أخذتها لأقرأ ما فيها، يبدو أن من كتبها سيدة خائفة، يمكن معرفة ذلك من خطها المرتبك والمتعرج، كانت قد كتبت تقول: سنرحل جميعاً هذا الفجر، والحكايات ستخرج، لن تضيع بالطبع، ستظل معلقة في سماه المدينة، وستكمل بعضها الريح.
