"في يوم خريفي من عام 1992وتحديداً في 1/9داهمت قوة كبيرة من المخابرات الصهيونية أحد البيوت الهادئة في بلدة البيرة الفلسطينية. وألقت القبض على رجل ملتح في العقد الرابع من عمره. حتى هنا كان الخبر يبدو عادياً. ولكن في اليوم التالي تصدرت الصحف الإسرائيلية عناوين بارزة وملفتة: "...اعتقال الرجل الأول للجبهة الشعبية في المناطق المحتلة والذي تمكن من الاختفاء وقيادة التنظيم طيلة سبعة عشر عاماً". كان ذلك الرجل هو المناضل الوطني الكبير أحمد سليمان قطامش. وبدأت المواجهة في أقبية التحقيق بأعنف ما يكون. مائة يوم من التعذيب والصراع، لم يترك رجال "الشين بيت" وسيلة إلا واختبروها لإرغام قطامش على الحديث. لكنهم اصطدموا برجل عنيد، ساخر، مثقف، ذكي. كانت جولات التحقيق صراعا قاسيا وشاملاً".
في هذا الكتاب "لن ألبس عباءتكم" يروي أحمد قصة المائة يوم. يروي بجسده وعقله كيف يتحول الوعي والإرادة إلى قوة. كان اختباراً دامياً للقناعات وللكلمات التي يجب أن تعبر عن معانيها. وكان له ما أراد فانكسر الارهاب الصهيوني أمام العينين الهادئتين وهما تدافعان عن الحق والأمل والكرامة.
