يقول الرسول (ص): "صلوا كما رأيتموني أصلي". من منطلق هذا الحديث يقدم الدكتور "علي أحمد باقر" كتابه ليبين فيه مختصر من كيفية صلاة الرسول الأكرم صلى الله عليه وسلم.
وفي هذا الكتاب يتحدث المؤلف عن القبلة وكيفية تعيينها والوضوء وشروطه، وكيفية وضوء الرسول (ص) أحكام الصلاة مع مثال لصلاة الرسول (ص) مكون من ركعتين.
يقول المؤلف: " ... وردت كلمة الصلاة بالقرآن الكريم 67 مرة، منها 9 مرات في سورة البقرة و9 مرات في سورة النساء و6 مرات في سورة المائدة، و5 مرات في سورة التوبة، و4 مرات في سورة النور، وثلاث مرات في كل من سورة إبراهيم وسورة مريم وسورة الحج (...)". وبناء على ما سبق يؤكد المؤلف على أهمية الصلاة وفضلها، وأن الله سبحانه وتعالى قد كرمها على سائر العبادات.
