"أستيقظ هذا الصباح وأنا مفعم بغبطة الكتابة إليك، أطلق صرخة من الشرفة التي تعرفينها جيداً، نحو الفراغ العميق فتصاب الطيور والأشجار المستكينة في حومة الحرّ والرطوبة بنوع من ذهول وترقب. أتذكر كل خطوة معك، وحيدين أو مع الأصدقاء، كانت وعداً بسعادة، بشيء من أمان وقلب، أنا الأكثر إحساساً باليتيم، أستشعر الحنان متدفقاً، غريزياً بشكل إيروسي، صداقي، أمومي وفوضوي. نحن الذين اكتنزنا أعماراً كثيرة في هذا العمر القصير. وأزمنة من المرارات والخيبات والتيه، مليئين بثقل الذكريات كأنما عشنا ألف عام. كنا نبدأ من جديد. كل علاقة حقيقية ولادة جديدة. وعد "بمستقبل" ما. رغم قرفي من هذه الكلمة حين تطلق على الكائن المتمادي في اضمحلاله. كانت روحك الأكثر سطوعاً، روحك المتدفقة بالغناء والمرح، تطوقني كيدٍ أنتظرها من عصور سحيقة حين كنا نتجوّل في الكهوف والبراري".
كل هذه المياه التي ادخرتها الأرض في جوفها السحيق بهذا الكون، لا تكفي لردم عطش الجمل الشريد، الذي أحدق فيه أمامي بصحراء عاتية.
لقد حلمت به يرغو ويزبد كانهيار جروف جبلية.
كان يتعذب يقينا.. كان رغاء الحنين والفقدان ذاك الذي يفترس أحشاءه كأنه الجمل الأخير على أديم هذه الأرض. ظل جمل يتلاشى في انقراض سحابة.
