يعتبر هذا القاموس مرجعا مفيدا للقارئ العادي والمترجم والدارس على حد سواء. فقد روعي في وضعه تغطية مفردات اللغة الإنكليزية التي يمكن أن ترد عند مطالعة غالبية الكتب الإنكليزية أو ترجمتها أو دراستها. و روعي عدم الإغراق في تفاصيل لا لزوم لها ترهق الباحث عن معنى كلمة معينة، دون التأثير على سعة التغطية المتوخاة من هذا القاموس. وقد روعي في هذا القاموس الكثير من الأمور الضرورية مثل: تبسيط المعاني العربية والابتعاد عن الألفاظ الغريبة أو المبهمة أو المحلية، و ذلك دون المساس بالدقة اللغوية لهذه المعاني. وضع صيغتي الماضي و اسم المفعول لكل فعل شاذ بين قوسين أمام الفعل نفسه، و كذلك صيغة الجمع الشاذ لكل اسم أمام الاسم نفسه، و ذلك لتسهيل معرفتها و البحث عنها، كما وضعت إشارة للدلالة على إمكان إستخدام الوجهين النظامي و الشاذ. توضيح الكلمات التي تختلف تهجئتها الأمريكية عن الإنكليزية، وذلك بذكر التهجئة الإنكليزية ألا ثم الأمريكية. الرجوع إلى الكثير من القواميس الكبيرة المعروفة، المطبوعة و الإلكترونية، للتأكد من صحة كل لفظة، و توثيق دقة كل معنى، و إصفاء طابع الحداثة على القاموس. إعطاء أمثلة وافية و كافية عن معاني الأفعال عند إرتباطها بأحرف الجر، أو عند استخدامها في بعض المصطلحات الخاصة التي تبتعد بها عن معناها بشكلها المجرد. وضع المعاني العربية للكلمات الإنكليزية المترادفة عند ورودها في مواضع أخرى، وعدم إحالة القارئ إلى الكلمة الأصلية و إضاعة وقته و جهده في البحث عنها في موضع آخر.
