"الليل دائماً وحده" أربعة وعشرون نصاً نثرياً للشاعر "عبد الوهاب الملوح" يجسد تجربة الحداثة في الشعر العربي المعاصر، فتبدو القصائد بمثابة مشروع حيوي منفتح على رؤية أكثر شمولاً للمعنى يُعبرَ عنها بواسطة اللغة يزاول فيها الشاعر لعبة الذات والآخر الذي يداخله بصمت، من خلال تقديمه لصور متحركة تحتمل أكثر من معنى، أو بالأحرى سيتنطق بها شاعرنا ذاكرة المعنى، ولربما يلتقي المعنى واللغة في إطار موحد أو لا يلتقيان ولكن في النهاية يقدم فيها فهمه في قالب شعري حديث.
يقول في "الليل دائماً لوحده" يقول: "توشكَ أن تفتقد ظلك... وأنت تهبط مدرج في النوم... تخلع سترتك أو تلبس لون التفاح... ستفصّل أشجار الأكاسيا من صمتك... قميصاً بطعم النبيذ... ضيقة المدارج وهي تهبط في النوم... لم يكن ثمة ما سيجعل الحلم أكواريوم... تسأل الله عن مصير آدم قبل كاريزما الماء... قبل حواء تفتح حجرها قصعة طين...
