"راشانا" الاسم الآرامي القديم كان-ومنذ قبل الميلاد-يعني:"أنا الرأس" ولكن "راشانا" الاسم الجديد، أصبح-وبدءاً من عتبة الألف الثاني بعد الميلاد-يعني "أنا ميشال بصبوص" أو أنا النحت أو أنا الفن". قام ميشال بصبوص بهذا التحول المدهش الفريد فتعدد المعنى فظل الاسم واحدا، لقد نبت النحت وانتصب مثل الشجر والصخر فوق وعلى أرض راشانا، وفي منعطفاتها وبساتينها وقرب بيوتها، فتحولت وتغيرت.
لقد غزا فن ميشال بصبوص هذه القرية فغير معنى الاسم الذي أعطته إياها الجغرافيا، فأصبحت القرية توسم باسم نحاتها العظيم الذي أبدع في فن النحت وفي فن الحياة. فترك خلفه ثروة فنية لا تقدر بثمن. عن هذا النحات والفنان البدع وعن اجمل منحوتاته يتحدث هذا الكتاب الذي يضم بين طياته بالإضافة إلى السيرة الذاتية المدونة بقلم بصبوص نفسه باللغات العربية والفرنسية والإنكليزية المعنونة تحت عنوان "تجربتي مع النحت" مجموعة مصورة من اجمل ما صنعته يداه من المنحوتات والمجسمات، وهو موجة لمن عرفوا "ميشال بصبوص" وعايشوه، لتضيء لهم معالم فنه، وليتتبعوا مسار ريشته، وإزميله الذي نحت في الصخر، وحفر في الخشب. وهو موجة أيضاً للذين لم يتح لهم أن يعرفوا "ميشال بصبوص" ومعايشته، فإنهم في هذا السفر التوثيقي والشاعري واجدون فرصة ثمينة للتعرف إلى فنان رائد، ولمقاربة مبادراته الشخصية والجمالية، التي رسمت في خريطة الإبداع اللبناني أبهى ما يميز الإنسان الفنان، بحثاً عن مغامرة أبقى.
