Book Description
صاحب هذا الكتاب هو "أبو عبد الله محمد بن أبي نصر فتّوح بن عبد الله ابن حميد بن مصيل الأزوي الأندلسي الميدرقي والحميدي"نسبة إلى جدّه الثاني.
كان مولده بجزيرة ميدرقة و 420 هـ على وجه التقريب، كانت حياة "أبي عبد الله" موصولة بالتلقي منذ سنيه المبكرة، وكان هذا التلقي لا شك بالأندلس، حيث الشيوخ الذين أخذ عنهم وسمع منهم؛ وفي سنة (448هـ) خرج من الأندلس حاجاً، فلقي بمكة الكثير، ثم كانت له رحلات كثيرة بعد خروجه من مكة، فزار مصر والشام والعراق، كما زار أفريقية.
وقد لقي في زياراته هذه الكثير من العلماء، سمع منهم وأخذ عنهم، ثم انتهى به المطاف إلى بغداد فإتخذها موطناً له، ولقد ذكره غير واحد ممن لقوه، أو ترجموا له، فأثنوا عليه...
كان "أبو عبد الله" موصوفاً بالنزاهة والمعرفة والإتقان والدين والورع، وكانت له نفحة حسنة في قراءة الحديث، كان ظاهري المذهب، دؤوباً على طلب العلم، كثير الإطلاع، ذكياً فطناً ورعاً إخبارياً متغنناً، إماماً في علم الحديث وعلله ومعرفة متونة ورواته، محققاً في علم الأصول علم مذهب أصحاب الحديث، متجراً في علم الأدب والعربية، وكان كثير التصانيف، توفي الحميدي في بغداد سنة (488هـ)، عن نحو من سبعين عاماً قضاهم في الأخذ والتأليف.
ويعتبر كتابه "جذوة المقتبس في تاريخ علماء الأندلس" من المراجع المهمة في هذا الباب، وهو ليس مختصراً لكتاب "المقتبس" لابن حيان، كما يقول صاحب هدية العارفين، ولكن الذي يبدو من مقدمة المؤلف أنه اعتمد على ما في جعبته من حصيلة لمؤلفين عدة سبقوه في هذا المضمار، وقد وضع "أبو عبد الله الحميدي" كتابه هذا في بغداد، ومن هذا الكتاب مخطوطة فريدة تحتفظ بها مكتبة جامعة اكسفورد برقم (464) وهي مكتوبة بالقلم المغربي الذي يختلف بعض الإختلاف عن القلم المشرقي.
وقد قسم المؤلف كتابه إلى أقسام عشرة، غير أنه ثمة تجزئة عرضت له جزأته إلى أجزاء خمسة فجعلت من كل قسمين جزءاً، ومهما يكن من أمر فإن الكتاب في طبعته هذه جاء كاملاً لينضم كأجد المراجع المهمة ويشكل واحداً في سلسلة كتب المكتبة الأندلسية.
