في سلسلة "تراث الأجداد" نقدّم "تيسير الوسائل في تفسير الرسائل" تأليف الخوري يوسف العلم، قسّمناه قسمين: قسم أوّل عنوانه: "الرسائل البولسيَّة الكبرى"، على أن يأتي القسم الثاني في جزء ثانٍ. فبعد مقدّمة مستفاضة حول اللغة السريانيّة والكتاب المقدّس وترجماته، ينتقل الكاتب إلى شرح رسالة رومة، رسالتي كورنتوس، رسالة غلاطية.
الأسلوب هو هو، بعد تعريف بالرسالة في صفحة أو صفحتين ينتقل الخوري بولس إلى شرح النصّ آيةً آية: يقدّم الآية مترجمة عن السريانيَّة، ثمّ يشرح إستناداً إلى الشرّاح الغربيّين، في اللغة الفرنسيّة.
شرح علميّ، شرح روحيّ، شرح رعائيّ، ماذا ينتظر الكاهن أو المؤمن الذي يهمّه معرفة إيمانه، أو الراهب والراهبة إلاّ مثل هذه التفاسير الغنيّة، ولا يحسبنَّ أحد أنَّ هذا الكتاب قديم، لأنّه يعود إلى سنة 1873.
أما القسم الثاني، وعنوانه: "الرسائل البوليسيَّة الصغرى والرسائل الكاثوليكيَّة"، فينتقل الكاتب فيه إلى شرح رسائل أفسس وفيليبي وقولوسي، ورسالتي تسالونيقي، ورسالتي طيموتاوس ورسالة طيطوس ورسالة فيليمون والرسالة إلى عبرانيّين، يلي ذلك شرحُ الرسائل الكاثوليكيَّة: رسالة يعقوب، رسالتي بطرس، رسائل يوحنّا الثلاث وأخيراً رسالة يهوذا.
