هل انتهينا من قراءة الكتاب المقدَّس وشرحه والتوسّع في معانيه؟ منذ ألفي سنة بالنسبة إلى الأناجيل، وأكثر من ألفي سنة بالنسبة إلى العهد القديم، لا ما انتهينا، فالكتاب المقدس نبع، ومن يجسر أن يقول: فرغ النبع؟ وخصوصاً إذا كان من يغذّي النبع هو الله، شرب قبلنا الأجداد، ونحن نشرب ويشرب أولادنا حتى نهاية العالم.
في هذا الكتاب رافقنا أولاً الأنبياء، اشعيا، دانيال، عاموس، هوشع... ثم انتقلنا إلى العهد الجديد مع وجه الله القريب منها، يكلمنا، يتألم معنا، يرافقنا، يحبّنا، يغفر خطايانا، مرات عديدة نحسبه الإله البعيد، فإذا هو يعرف ما في قبلنا ويتعامل معنا كما الأم (أو الأب) مع أطفالها، فبأي دالة نستطيع أن نقترب منه، نحن البنين والبنات!.
وتركنا الكتاب المقدس دون أن نتركه، فَرُحنا إلى العالم السرياني الذي لا يكتب لاهوتاً إلاّ من ينبوع الكتاب المقدس، في العهدين، القديم والجديد، مع افرام (العالم السرياني) مع يوحنا الذهي الفم (العالم اليوناني) دون أن ينسى أوغريس البنطي وشارحي الكتاب المقدس في اللغة السريانية، أصلاً وترجمة، وإلى كتاب آخر بنعمة الله ومحبة القراء.
