وقد اشتهر فضل هذه الليلة قديماً عند الناس فكانوا يحيونها بالعبادة والذكر والدعاء وإن اختلفوا في صفة إحيائها هل يكون جماعة أو فرادي؟ وهل يكون بالمسجد أو البيت؟ وهل تخصيصها بشيء زائد من العبادة على سائر الليالي بدعة؟ أو غير بدعة؟ على هذه المسائل وغيرها يجيب المؤلف "الصديق الغماري" في هذا الكتاب الكثير الفوائد، القليل الفصول، الذي يضم إلى جانب مختلف هذه المسائل العديد من الأحاديث الواردة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في هذه الليلة وأهميتها.
