ليست حرية الفنان في إطلاق رغباته التعبيرية، بقدر ما هي في التزامه الصميمي لتجربته العميقة التي يعيشها، وإنما يختلف الفنان عن الإنسان العادي، من حيث هو كيان بشري مرهف تنعكس فيه الأحاسيس الدقيقة والعواطف الراقية، وتختمر فيه المسؤوليات البعيدة، هذه المسؤوليات التي تعمل على رفع الإنسان من مستوى الحاجات الرخيصة إلى مستوى الحاجات السامية فالتزام الفنان بهذا المعنى هو من أخطر مسؤوليات الفنان الأصيل، وهو يختلف عن الإلتزام ويتعارض معه، فالالتزام دافع داخلي للإنسجام مع الأفكار والقضايا العامة، وليس فيه أي معنى من معاني القسر والإجبار. وإنما تجلو الحرية عن وجهها فيه عند معاناة التجربة الجديرة، وعند التعبير عنها. وما بينهما يبقى التزام الصق والتزام الحدس الفني والتزام الإبداع.
