ينقسم الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا والمعنون بـ"علي بن موسى الرضا عليه السلام والفلسفة الإلهية" إلى مقدمة وأربع روضات وستة فصول وأقسام أخرى وهو يتميز بأهمية فائقة ويستحق التأمل والتعمق والبحث من جهتين: الأولى: إن الحكمة الإسلامية التي تتكفل ببيان المعارف الأصلية والأساسية للإسلام ومن هنا عرفت باسم الفقه الأكبر وتلقّب في القرآن بخيرٍ كثيرٍ، لأن الحكمة هي التي قصرت جهدها وهي التي نجحت في بيان وحراسة نتائج الكتب والصحف السماوية والأصول الاعتقادية، وقد تمّ هذا الدفاع عن الحكمة من قبل المؤلف في هذا الكتاب بصورة كاملة وجادّة. الثانية: إن اكتساب هذه المفاهيم والتزوّد بهذه العلوم من صحيفة وجود شخصية تعتبر المخزن الأصيل وهو الإمام الثامن عليّ بن موسى الرضا عليه السلام أمر بعكس الأهمية العادية لهذا الكتاب، وذلك لأن فيه أرقى المعارف التي يتضمنها بيان الإمام الثامن الذي هو معدن العلم والحكمة قد شرحها قلم المدقق "عبد الله الجوادي الطبري" الذي يعتبر من أفضل المتمسكين بباب الولاية ومدينة الحكمة.
