إن هذا الكتاب يقدم دراسة قرآنية تفسرثلة من نصوص الإمامة في القرآن الكريم، وتناقش موضوع الإمامة ضمن معطياتها، وبما يشد الإنتباه أن المنهج الشائع في تفسير آيات الذكر الحكيم كان غالباً يعتمد غالباً على استخلاص المعنى الإجمالي للنص، بينما يشار إلى النصوص تحمل دلالتها الخاصة من خلال أسلوب البيان والتعبير بما يتلاقى وأسباب النزول المعلومة، ولو بمعزل عن العلم بها، والنصوص المتعلقة بموضوع الإمامة تشكل نموذجها الرئيسي، ولعله لم يعط لهذه الحقيقة قدر كاف من الإهتمام، ولم تتناول التفاسير في الأغلب هذا الأمر بما يستحقه من الجهد. والذي يميز بحوث هذا الكتاب هو تناولها البحث في بعض من نصوص الإمامة، من خلال استخدامها للدلالة المباشرة التي يحلها أسلوب البيان وطريقة التعبير، ويفرضها النص بمعزل عن أسباب النزول.
ومما تجدر الإشارة إليه أن نصوص الإمامة في الكتاب قد تعرضت إلى الإفتراء لجهة تزوير أسباب النزول أحياناً. ولجهة التأول في المضمون أحياناً أخرى، لإخراجها عن دلالاتها الحقيقية، بهدف عدم معارضة الواقع الذي ساد في ولاية الأمر وانسجاماً مع توجهات السلطة المهيمنة على الأمة.
