تضم هذه المجموعة التي بين أيدينا ثلاثاً وعشرين رسالة، من آثار أبي بكر ابن باجة، يتناول بعضها مسائل في المنطق والعلم الطبيعي، وتشير ثلاث منها إلى نبذ من صناعتي الهندسة والهيئة، كما تكشف أحداها في قسمها الأول جزءاً أساسياً من مراحل الفكر الباجوري، إلى جانب هذا تتناول بعض هذه الرسائل معالجة موضوعات سيكو-ميتافيزيقية مثل علاقة القوة المتخيلة بالعقل، ومسألة الاتصال، وخلود العقل، ومفهوم الكمال، ويثير بعضها مسألة الفيض، والتراقب المعرفي، والفاعل البعيد والقريب، والواجب الوجود والممكن الوجود، وتتميز رسالة من هذه المجموعة بالدفاع عن أبي النصر فيما ينسب إليه في شرحه لكتاب الأخلاق لأرسطو من انكسار للوجود الأخروي والسادة الأخروية. والملاحظ أن رسائل هذه المجموعة الأخيرة تثير مسائل جديدة بالنسبة للمنظومة الباجوية المعروفة، بل ربما أمكن اعتبارها متعارضة والمنحى العام الذي اتخذه تفكير ابن باجة. ولا يتعلق الأمر فحسب بالمسائل التي لا يوجد لها أثر في كتاباته الأخرى، مثل الفيض والتراتب المعرفي والواجب الوجود والممكن الوجود، بل يتعلق أيضاً بالموضوعات الأخرى التي تبدو شديدة الاتصال بالصورة الأخيرة التي اتخذها المشروع الفلسفي عند ابن باجة، ابتداء من تدبير المتوحد، مثل أشكال الاتصال الذي يقال إنه المحور الأساسي للفلسفة الباجورية في مرحلتها الأخيرة، وكذلك مفهوم الكمال، وخلود العقل، وعلاقة القوة المتخيلة بالعقل. وذلك لأن الاشتراك الظاهر بين هذه لمفاهيم الواردة في هذه المجموعة ومثيلاتها الواردة في كتاباته الأخرى، التي لا يرقى إليها شك إنما هو اشتراك في الاسم فقط كما يقول القدماء. وهذا هو السبب الذي وقع جامع الرسائل إلى فصلها عن رسائل المجموعة الأولى، ووضعها في مجموعة خاصة.
