موضوع هذا الكتاب ليس جديداً على الفقه في الإسلام، إذ هو يتناول مواضيع الفروع المعروفة في كل الكتب الفقهية ولكن الميزة فيه تفرده بالوضوح والإيجاز والشمول والأسلوب الشيق.
وهذه خصائص تشتد الحاجة إليها في معالجة المواضيع المتكررة التي تبقى غامضة لا لصعوبة فيها كامنة بل لنقص في العرض والبيان، حتى باتت مع الأسف كلمة "فقه" مقرونة بالصعوبة والمشقة.
إن الأحكام الشرعية التي تتناول الفروع والمعاملات "تنفر" أحياناً كثيرة عامة الناس من جراء ما درج عليه بعض الكتاب من إحاطتها بالغموض لقصور أو لسوء قصدٍ.
