بعد أن عقد أول مؤتمر دولي للقانون الجنائي في مدينة (بوخارست) عن الضحية في القانون الجنائي، قدَّم (مندلسون Mendelson) في هذا المؤتمر بحثه عن خصائص ضحايا الجريمة لأول مرة حيث تطرق إلى تلك الخصائص التي تجعل بعض الأشخاص أكثر قابلية للوقوع ضحايا للعنف والجريمة أكثر من غيرهم. فضلاً عن محاولات هانزفان هنتنق Hansven Hentig وستيفن شيفر Stephen Schafer وغيرهم الذين أكدوا على أهمية علم ضحايا الجريمةVictimology ،وفي هذه الدراسة حاولت جاهداً أن ارضي الباحثين بإطار عام للدراسات التجريبية الاكلينيكة في العلاج النفسي وارضي القارئ العادي بإطار نظري قريب لأي متلقي رابطاً في ذلك بين بعض الخصائص الشخصية التي توجد لدى ضحايا العنف الأسري والتحرش الجنسي والاغتصاب والتي يمكن اكتشافها من خلال مقاييس الخصائص الشخصية التي تقيس خصائص مثل التهور والإهمال واختلال الثقة بالنفس واختلال القيم والاستفزاز والإغراء وبين الوقوع في حوادث العنف المختلفة بما تسببه من إضرابات نفسية من أهمها اضطرابات إجهاد ما بعد الصدمة والاكتئاب العصابي واضطراب المزاج واضطراب القلق العام واضطرابات النوم واضطراب الخوف الاجتماعي واضطرابات الشخصية واضطرابات التوافق و اضطراب الوسواس القهري و الاضطرابات الجنسية ويمكن اكتشاف هذه الاضطرابات أيضاً ووجودها وحدتها من خلال بطارية الاضطرابات النفسية التالية للصدمة مع العلم أن هذه الدراسة بعينتها وبأطرها المنهجية والمقاييس التي بنيتها طبقت بما يتلاءم مع مجتمعها في المملكة العربية السعودية داعياً الله وحدة أن ينفع بها وأن لا يحرمنا من صالح ثوابه وكريم دعاء عبادة.
