درجت الجامعات المتميزة على إصدار مجلات علمية دورية متخصصة لتكون منبراً علمياً ونافذة يطل من خلالها الباحثون على روافد العلم ومناهله ومرآة للبحوث والدراسات التي تواكب التطور والتقدم. والمتطلع على مجلة "كلمة" التي تصدرها كلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية في جامعة البلمند في عددها الأول هذا يدرك مباشرة أنها جمعت في ثناياها أصالة البحث وحداثة المعرفة وهي في ذلك تسير في ركب المعاهد العلمية المتميزة، وجاءت من حيث الشكل والمضمون معبرة عن رسالة الكلية وأهدافها، وضمت ظهرانيها بحوثاً في اللغة والآداب والتاريخ، والفلسفة والعلوم الإنسانية وغير ذلك من ألوان المصارف والفنون، وقد احتوت في عددها هذا الذي بين أيدينا على توليفة من البحوث والدراسات والقراءات النقدية التي دونها عدد من المتخصصين والباحثين من أساتذة الجامعات اللبنانية أو تلك الكوكبة من الكتاب الذين أنسحت لهم المجلة صفحاتها لنشر بحوث لهم فيها، وبالرجوع إلى مضمون بحوث المجلة نجد أنها تحتوي على مقالات متعددة جاء بعضها باللغة العربية وجاء بعضها الآخر إما باللغة الإنكليزية أو اللغة الفرنسية، ومن عناوين هذه المقالات نذكر: هل يمكن الاستغناء عن الإملاء؟، قراءة في صحافة كندا المهجرية، القواميس فن وعلم Seraphita de Balzac, sur le my the de landrogyne dans comprendre et traduire un sonnet et Mallarme: le cyne, Assyrian Athens: Epigrams of Anthologio palatina about ancient phenician cities.
