من بوابة البوح يدخل عيسى الحسيني عالم الشعر في (الهوى سرّي الصغير) لا شيء يشغل الشاعر سوى الحب، الحب الذي يدفع إلى الأمام ويسمو بالنفس البشرية إلى عالم من الخيال فيفيض شعره رقة وعذوبة وعاطفة جياشة باتجاه الآخر / المرأة. وهو ما تؤشر إليه عناوين القصائد "أنت .. أنا!" ، "سرّي الصغير" ، "أحبك" ، "أموت بها" وغيرها من العناوين.
في القصيدة المعنونة "سرّي الصغير" ، تبدو الحبيبة هني الواحة التي تهدأ عليها أحزان الشاعر، وهي النسمة الرقيقة واللحن الشجي، وسرّ الشاعر وعالمه الخفي "أن تحبيني خلف تلك الحدود والأسوار .. / أن تحبيني دون أن تملّي الإنتظار .. / أن يكون الهوى "سري الصغير" / أن تكون عيناك صحوة ضمير .. / أن تكوني لي في الدنيا المصير! / أن أكون لك ذنباً لا يُغتفر ، / قدراً ليس منه مفر! / أن يكون الحب في قلبك لغيري .. "شخصٌ ما" وانتحر!!". هو شعر يعد درباً من دروب العتق وتسييداً للعاطفة، إلى حد التماهي، وإنكار الذات وليصل إلى حد التضحية في سبيل الطرف الآخر، من خلال هذه التجليات الجمالية، سوف يكتسب النص عند الشاعر الحسيني قوته، وشاعريته، واستمراره.
يضم الكتاب عدداً من القصائد النثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "حلم!" ، "أنت أنا!" ، "إنكسار" ، "وعدتك" ، "ليلة طيوفك" ، "مرايا لا تعكس الواقع!" (...)، وقصائد أخرى.
