في "جلالته" تنطلق وفاء سالم من ذاكرة مثقلة بالرومانسية، ليكون الشعر معراج الروح إلى عالم تتوحد فيه أشياء الأنثى بنصفها الآخر، متخطية الزمان، عابرة بأشعارها نحو الآفاق فإذا كان لا معنى للروح بانفصالها عن الجسد، فكذلك لا معنى لحياة الأنثى من دون رجل، مما يشير إلى أهمية المنزلة التي يحتلها الآخر في حياة الشاعرة الذي ترى فيه المثال والوجود والأمان، عبر هذه الثيمات تنصهر كل عواطف الشاعرة سالم وأفكارها وتتفجر في عبارات شفيفة وقد عبرت عن ذلك بلغة مؤثثة بالأناقة والتكثيف والجمال.
تحت عنوان "إستراحة" تقول الشاعرة وفاء سالم:
" ممدد قلبي على بياض روحك، يتشرب دفء / حضورك ولهفة اللقاء ../ يا رجلاً أنجبه القدر لي ليُغير على قلبي/ ويستعمر مسامات العمر بأي خرائط العالم/ آتيك؟/ كيف لأم أن تنجب رجلاً مثلك، يغير/ تضاريس الأزمنة/ ويخطفني كريحانة من/ حديقة قلبه؟! (عبث)/ على محيط قلبك أقف/ أصابعك تعبث بشعري/ عيناك ../ شفتاك ../ كلها مغمورة بالعشق".
