ما يميز هذا النوع من القصص هو اقحامه للجانب الروحي والأخلاقي للمراة العربية، حيث لامست الكاتبة الذات الإنسانية التواقة نحو حب الخير والابتعاد عن كل ما لا يرضى عند الله سبحانه وتعالى. ففي "طارق الندم" تعالج الروائية وضع المرأة المطلقة وتحثها على البقاء في بيتها والمحافظة على أسرتها وعدم التكبر والصبر والابتعاد عن الأنانية "... هلا تنازلت عن وغباتي وأنانيتي؟ هلا عاملته كزوجة عليها حقوق أمام الله (...) وهل هناك مكابرة بين الزوجين، وهل هناك عزو ذل بين الأحباء، أين أنا من ذلك كله؟ أين أنا من تلك المرأة التي تحفظ زوجها في نفسه وعرضه وماله، فأسرد ما يدور بيننا إلى جميع الأهل... تذكرت هنا وضعها الاجتماعي فأضحت تراجع حساباتها...".
هذا، ويضم الكتاب خمس قصص قصيرة جاءت بعناوين مختلفة "طارق الندم"، "الصراع"، وتليت الفاتحة"، "الصفقة الأخيرة"، وأخيراً "أيعود الربيع".
