"بعيداً داخل الغاية" محاولة للنظر إلى الحداثة من زاوية اخرى، زاوية أكثر إتساعاً من الحديث عن رؤى هذا الشاعر أو ذاك الكاتب، إنها محاولة لنقد الحياة من أجل إكتشاف الجوهر الذي يقف وراء كل إبداع، محاولة لنقد بنية القمع والدكتاتورية في المجتمعات العربية، فكرياً وفنياً وسياسياً، من أجل إنهاء وهم الفردوس الكاتب الذي ظل الشيطان يبشر به حتى الآن.
هذا الكتاب يحاول الوصول إلى فضاء آخر في الكتابة العربية الجديدة، حيث يرتبط التجديد ببناء حضارة إنسانية جديدة وينبثق منها، وبهذا المعنى فإنه يشير إلى فن مضاد، يرتبط بالفن السائد والمدجن من خلال نفيه، طامحاً في الوصول إلى النقطة الأكثر بعداً في ما تريد الكتابة الجديدة أن تكشف عنه وأن تقوله، عبر دمج الحرية بالوعي بأنفسنا، بتاريخنا، وقبل كل شيء بسؤال الكتابة نفسها عن معناها.
وأخيراً، فإن كتاب "بعيداً داخل الغابة" لا يستهدف وضع تحديد معين للكتابة أو تأطيرها وإنما وضع موقف من الحياة إزاء موقف آخر، وإثارة حنين الوصول إلى المنطقة التي يبدأ منها التاريخ الحقيقي للإنسان، تاريخ الحرية والذي هو في الوقت ذاته تاريخ كل حلم.
