بالصدفة أصبح يشير العظمة طبيباً وكذلك وزيراً للصحة المركزية في الجمهورية العربية المتحدة، ثم بالصدفة أيضاً كان رئيساً للوزراء في سوريا خلال أشهر من عام 1962، وهو يكتب بتصميم وصراحة وقد بلغ الثمانين؛ في يقينه أنه لن ينتهي مسلسل الظلم والظلام إلا بعملية إنسلاخ فكرية سلوكية تنهي قناعاتنا وأساليبنا التربوية الثبوتية في خداع الذات.
