إن علم الحاسبة أهمية بالغة في الحياة التجارية والاقتصادية المعاصرة, ومن إدراكي لتلك الأهمية وحرصاً على تسهيل بعض الصعوبات في هذا العلم قمت بإعداد هذه الفصول إرشاداً لكل مشتغل بهذا لعلم ولطلاب الثانويات والمعاهد التجارية وحيث أن موضوع هذا الكتاب لجميع العمليات المتعلقة بالمنشآت الفردية. حيث تناول الكتاب في بابه الأول كيفية التوصل إلى ميزان المراجعة وقسم هذا الباب إلى خمسة فصول تناول في الفصل الأول نشأة المحاسبة, تعريف المحاسبة, علاقة المحاسبة بالعلوم الأخرى, الاصطلاحات محاسبية رئيسية. وفي الفصل الثاني كيفية التوصل إلى النتيجة النهائية من ربح أو خسارة للمنشأة, القيود اليومية, طريقة كتابة القيد المزدوج. وفي الفصل الثالث أنواع الحسابات, المعالجات الحسابية للحسابات المختلفة الصندوق المصرف القروض عمليات الشراء والبيع بضاعة أول مدة الشيكات معالجة الأوراق التجارية. وفي الفصل الرابع تصحيح الأخطاء في القيود اليومية, دفتر الأستاذ, ميزان مراجعة. وفي الفصل الخامس تصحيح الأخطاء في ميزان المراجعة. وحيث قسم الباب الثاني إلى فصلين وتناول الفصل الأول تعريف الأعمال الختامية والحسابات الختامية. وفي الفصل الثاني والأخير في هذا الكتاب تناول تعريف الجرد, حالات الجرد, جرد الأموال الجاهزة, جرد أصول متداولة, جرد الأصول الثابتة وأنواعها, جرد الخصوم المطالب, جرد حسابات التسوية, جرد القروض.
