ويمكن النظر إلى تكنولوجيا التعليم بوصفها نظاماً أو منظومة تضم عناصر متعددة ومتكاملة لتحقيق أهداف النظام أو المنظومة تتمثل في: العناصر البشرية، والعناصر المادية، والأهداف، والمحتوى، والآلات والمواد التعليمية، والإستراتيجيات التعليمية، والتقويم.
وفي هذا الكتاب نحاول أن نتناول مكونات منظومة تكنولوجيا التعليم، والأصول والأسس النظرية لها، مع وضع حدود فاصلة لبعض المفاهيم المتداخلة في منظومة أو مجال تكنولوجيا التعليم.
