ويتناول المؤلف في هذا الكتاب شتى الموضوعات التي تتعلق بجلد الإنسان وعلله وأمراضه، كما يجول جولات واسعة في آفاق تهم الرجال والنساء على حد سواء، من مثل الثآليل وحب الشباب والشرى الصدفية والدمامل والفطريات وبشرة الوجه، والشعر والأظافر، وخص الأطفال والحوامل وكبار السن بفصول مستقلة.
كما وخصص فصلاً خاصاً للحديث عن أهمية أن يتفادى المرء المبالغة في تعريض جلده للشمس، وفصلاً يدور حول مستحضرات تجميل البشرة وما يمكن أن تتوقعه النساء منها، كما دعم الكتاب بالعديد من الصور الفوتوغرافية الملونة التي جمع عبر سني ممارسته لمهنة طب الجلد، وخلال المؤتمرات العديد التي اشترك فيها، بلغة سهلة ومبسطة تفيد الإنسان العادي والأطباء العامين وأطباء العائلة والممرضات وكل من له علاقة بمهنة الطب.
