في هذا الكتاب دراسة تحليلية تكشف عن موقع الصلاة في الإسلام ودورها في حياة الناس أفراداً وجماعات... وهي تنقسم إلى خمسة فصول: ألقي في الفصل الأول منها أضواء على الصلاة بشكل عام، فتم إيضاح مفهوم الإسلام عن العبادة موقع الصلاة من هذا المفهوم، ثم تم شرح المعاني اللغوية والشرعية لكمة الصلاة، ثم عرض بإيجاز لعراقة الصلاة في الشريعة الإلهية عبر تاريخها المجيد، ثم ختم هذا الفصل بدراسة المنبعين الأساسيين لضرورة الصلاة فتم إيضاح دور الصلاة في علاقة الإنسان بالغيب، ودورها في تعامل الإنسان المبدئي في الحياة.
وفي الفصل الثاني تم بحث موضوع فريضة الصلاة في القرآن الكريم وذلك بعد تقسيم نصوص القرآن في الصلاة من حيث المضمون إلى عشرة أقسام، وجاء الفصل الثالث "الصلاة في السنة" فيما تفردت به السنة تقريباً من نصوص في الصلاة، وقدم الفصل الرابع المعطيات العامة للصلاة في حياة الفرد والأمة والتي هي: معطيات عقلية، ونفسية، واجتماعية وصحية، وخصص الفصل الخامس للجنايات التي ترتكب في حق الصلاة سواء الجناية الناشئة عن الجهالة أو من الذاتية، أو من الأغراض السياسية.
