إن حياة المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم تتفجر عظمة وجلالاً، وإعجازاً ليس له نظير، حيث تلتقي فيها مظاهر الصمود والقوة، الخشوع والورع، البأساء والضرّاء، والبطولة والألم. ومن هنا جاء الحديث في هذا الكتاب منصبّاً على إبراز الأطر الأساسية من حياته الشريفة بشكل مقتضب، لا سيما ما يتعلق بمقومات شخصية الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم العظيمة ونشاطاته، ومواقفه قبل الدعوة وبعدها: في دعوته وفي دولته؛ فرداً في مجتمع، وداعية لرسالة، وقائد أمّة. وسيعرض المؤلف ذلك من خلال أقسام وأبواب هذا الكتاب الثلاثة.
يتناول الأول منها حياة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم في المدينة المنورة، وهو يضطلع بمهام القيادة الاجتماعية والسياسية وبناء النهضة الكبرى أما القسم الثالث فيفتح المؤلف من خلاله نافذة على سيرة الرسول العظيم صلى الله عليه وسلم من حيث: منهجه العبادي، وتعامله مع أسرته والأمة، ويقف أيضاً عند عطائه الفكري الرائد ومناقبيته في جهاد أعداء الرسالة.
