لقد سخر رب العالمين لكتابه المبين، خاتم الكتب السماوية سبل حفظه، والاعتناء به، ونشره وتفسيره، ونقله وتعليمه، والغوص على أسراره، والعمل بأحكامه، والتخلق بآدابه مما لم يعهد التاريخ لغيره مثل هذه العناية والرعاية. وقد نمت في خدمة القرآن الكريم علوم كثيرة، واتسعت دوحة علوم القرآن في ظلاله، فلم تدع شاردة أو واردة لها صلة بخدمة أو بيان بنص ما يتعلق به إلا أحاطت بها.. من وحيه وكيفية نزوله، وحفظه وحفّاظه، وجمعه وتدوينه، وشكله وإعجامه ورسم كلمه، وترتيب آياته وسوره، ومعرفة مكية ومدنيّة، وأسباب نزوله، وما كان منه في قرِّ شتاء، أو قيظ صيف، في سلم أو حرب، وليل أو نهار وذلك بما يدهش العقول، حتى عدّوا حروفه، وبينوا قراّءه وقراءاته، ووجوه إعجازه.. وغير هذا مما يطول عدّه وبيانه.
وقد كثرت المصنفات في علوم القرآن، قديماً وحديثاً، وتفاوتت مناهجها وحجومها، وتنوعت أبحاثها، وكثرت مسائلها، وتعدّدت الأقوال فيها، وكان من أحدث ما ألف في علوم القرآن، هذا الكتاب "المنار في علوم القرآن" حيث ضم الكتاب باقات متنوعة من غياض علوم القرآن، الواقرة، كل علم يمثل فصلاً، وكل مسألة تنتظم ضمن بحث، فكان الكتاب شاملاً، لم يدع للمطلع عليه منبتاً من منابت علوم القرآن الأولى.
في هذا الكتاب جذور، حيث أخذ المؤلف كل علم إلى أصوله ومراجعه ليكون البيان سبيله إلى التراث العظيم، فكان أن جمع الكتاب في طياته بين أصالة البحث وحداثته، بأمانة الفرد والتوثيق، وبحسب العرض والمناقشة والترجيح، بعبارة جزلة وأسلوب سهل، وتلخيص محكم، وتفصيل مرتب، يساعد القارئ على حسن الفهم والاستيعاب، ويكون للدارس في علوم القرآن خير مرجع ودليل.
الرثاء معزوفة الحزن على أوتار القلب، وأنشودة الأسى على قيثارة النفس، وهذا الديوان محاولة جادة في لمّ شتات المراثي والبكائيات في الشعر العربي قديماً وحديثاً التي قالها الأزواج في رثاء زوجاتهم والعكس، وضمّها بين دفّتين ليسهل النظر إليها مجتمعة، ولتُعين الدارسين على رصد اتجاهات عاطفة الرثاء.
