يتناول كتاب "الأحزاب السياسية الكوردية في سوريا 1957 – 2000م" رصدًا للتنظيمات السياسية الكوردية في سوريا خلال هذه الحقبة وتحليل مواقفها من مختلف الاحداث، وتأثيرها على اوضاع الكورد السوريين بصورة عامة، وأثر الأحزاب السياسية في توجيه بوصلتهم السياسية في التعامل مع القضايا المختلفة و تم أختيار موضوع الدراسة خلال هذه المدة، لان العام 1957م شهد ولادة اول حزب سياسي كوردي سوري منظم هو الحزب الديمقراطي الكوردي في سوريا (البارتي).
جاء التوقف عند العام 2000م لأنه يشكل بداية مرحلة جديدة بالنسبة للاحزاب الكوردية السورية نتيجة وفاة الرئيس حافظ الأسد، وتولي نجله بشار الأسد الحكم خلفا له، حيث دخلت الحياة الحزبية في سوريا منعطفًا جديدًا.
