هذا الكتاب يضم ما كتبه كل من النقاد والشعراء الدكتور ما هر حسن فهمي والدكتور محمد عبد الرحيم كافود والدكتور سليم سعيد، وقد عرف هؤلاء الثلاثة مسيرة الشاعر محمد بن خليفة العطية منذ بداياتها، كما عرفوه على الصعيد الإنساني، وكتبوا عن "مرآة الروح" الديوان الأول وقت صدوره سنة 1989. كما يضم الكتاب ما كتبه كل من الشاعرة عزة رشاد قطورة من مصر والشاعر والكاتب خليل إبراهيم الفزيع من المملكة العربية السعودية والشاعر والكاتب زهير غانم من سوريا ويقيم في لبنان والشاعر والكاتب شعبان يوسف من مصر والشاعر والكاتب قاسم سعودي من العراق ويقيم في الإمارات العربية المتحدة. وفيما يتعلق بهؤلاء فإنهم كتبوا عن الشاعر دون أن يكونوا قد التقوا ولو مرة واحدة مع الإنسان، وذلك باستثناء خليل إبراهيم الفزيع وحده من بين هؤلاء الخمسة. كما يضم الكتاب حوارا مع الشاعر أجراه الكاتب عبد الرحيم كمال، ونشر في جريدة "الراية" القطرية. ولكي تتكامل ملامح الكتاب جاءت خاتمته لتشتمل على مجموعة من القصائد المختارة من كل من "مرآة الروح" و"ذاكرة بلا أبواب".
