هذا شرح لطيف على بردة المديح للإمام البوصيري - رحمه الله تعالى - كتبته رجاء الإنتساب إلى خدّام الجناب المحمدي ولتكون لي عدة أذخرها ليوم الشدة فأفوز بشفاعة من هو في الشفاعة العمدة كيف لا وقد أعطاه الله تعالى المقام المحمود وجعله صاحب الشفاعة العظمى في اليوم الموعود وقد استقيت هذا الشرح من كتب متعددة على رأسها:
1-الذخر والعدة في شرح البردة للعلامة محمد علي بن علان الصديقي المكي المتوفى 1057.
2-شرح البردة لابن مقلاش.
3-شرح البردة للعلامة خالد الأزهري.
4-حاشية البيجوري على البردة
5-البلسم المريح من شفاء القلب الجريح وهو مختصر لشرح الطاهر بن عاشور على البردة أختصره العلامة عمر عبد الله كامل.
6-نحت جديد الباطل وبرده في أدلة الحق الدابة عن صاحب البردة للعلامة داود بن سليمان النقشبندي المتوفى سنة 1299هــ.
ولما تم الشرح سميته "العمدة في شرح البردة" ولقبته ب "تفريج الشدة بتقريب معاني البردة" والله أسأل وبنبيه أتوسل أن يجعل هذا الشرح سبباً لإنجاح المودة وسبباً لتفريج كل كربة وشدة وأن يضع له القبول وينفع به كما نفع بأصوله.
